VROOMTRACK – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

1. BOOKING, PAYMENTS & GENERAL INFORMATION

How do I book a VroomTrack event?

Bookings are made online through our website. Your place is confirmed once full payment is received.

Can I transfer my booking to someone else?

Yes — free of charge, any time before the event.

Can I cancel my booking?

VroomTrack operates a credit-only policy:

• 30+ days: credit or transfer

• 14–30 days: credit only

• Under 14 days: credit only if your place is resold

No refunds are offered.

Are your events open pit lane?

Yes — all VroomTrack events operate open pit lane unless stated otherwise.

Do I need prior track experience?

No — all levels welcome.

2. LICENSING & AGE REQUIREMENTS

What licence do I need?

A full driving licence from any recognised country.

Minimum age?

Typically 17+, depending on the circuit.

International drivers allowed?

Yes.

3. SIGN-ON, BRIEFINGS & WRISTBANDS

Do I need to sign anything?

Yes:

• VroomTrack waiver

• Circuit indemnity

• Passenger forms if applicable

Is the safety briefing mandatory?

Yes. No briefing = no track access.

Late arrival?

A catch-up briefing may be possible but not guaranteed.

4. VEHICLES & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Does my car have to be road legal?

Not strictly — road cars, track cars and race cars are all welcome if safe and within noise limits.

Vehicle requirements:

• Safe and mechanically sound

• No leaks

• Good brakes & tyres

• Remove loose items

• Tow hooks recommended

Multiple cars?

Yes — if each meets requirements.

5. NOISE LIMITS

Noise limits?

Set by each circuit and listed on each event page.Failing noise testing?

Possible retest, silencing or exclusion. No refunds.

Drive-by limits apply?

Yes.

6. SAFETY GEAR, CLOTHING & HELMET HIRE

Required clothing:

• Helmet

• Long sleeves

• Long trousers

• Closed shoes

Helmet hire?

Yes — £25/day + card security deposit.

Damage/missing helmet charges up to £150.

Hire on the day?

Yes, subject to availability.

7. TRACK RULES, CONDUCT & OVERTAKING

Overtaking?

Allowed on either side, must be safe and predictable.

Responsibility?

Always the overtaking car.

Exclusion for:

• Aggressive/unsafe driving

• Racing

• Tailgating

• Weaving/blocking

• Repeated spins

• Ignoring marshals

• Driving under influence

• Causing avoidable contact

• No refunds should you be excluded.

8. BREAKDOWNS, RECOVERY & SPINS

Breakdown procedure:

Move somewhere safe if possible and wait for marshals.

Recovery cost?

Driver pays all towing/recovery fees.

9. PASSENGERS, EXTRA DRIVERS & GUESTS

Passengers allowed?

Yes — must sign on, wear helmet, meet age rules.

Extra drivers?

Yes — must sign on and attend briefing.

Children?

Allowed in paddock with supervision, not in pitlane.

Pets?

Not permitted in pitlane or garages.

10. COACHING & TUITION

Do you offer coaching?

Yes:

• 1:1 tuition

• Hourly or full-day

• Shared coaching (up to 3 drivers)• Novice onboarding

• Advanced technique coaching

Can instructor drive my car?

Yes if insurance + circuit allow.

10A. NOVICE DRIVERS & FIRST-TIMERS

Are sighting laps mandatory?

Yes — for everyone.

Onboarding session?

Novice drivers and anyone new to the circuit may be required to complete a short onboarding session with a VroomTrack instructor or team member after sighting laps.

Novice sticker?

Yes — “X” sticker must be displayed on rear of vehicle. Provided at sign-on.

Will I be in the way?

No — faster cars take responsibility for the overtake.

Coaching recommended?

Yes — highly recommended for novices.

11. CAMERAS, FILMING & PHOTOGRAPHY

Onboard cameras?

Allowed only if:

• Securely mounted

• Tethered with a secondary strap

Unsafe mounts may be removed.

Photographer?

Yes — at every event.

How do I get photos?

Distributed to participants after the event.

12. INSURANCE & LIABILITY

Trackday insurance required?

Not mandatory but strongly recommended.

Vehicle damage?

Driver responsibility — own-risk event.

Circuit damage?

Driver pays for any damage to barriers, tarmac, garages or equipment.

13. WEATHER, DELAYS & EVENT CHANGES

Do events run in bad weather?

Yes unless unsafe.

If VroomTrack cancels?

You receive a credit or transfer.

14. FUEL, TYRES, TOOLS & GARAGES

Fuel?

Usually available but not guaranteed.

Garages?

Available at some circuits — shown on event page.

Tools or tyres?

Drivers must bring their own equipment.
